CCPS Update (18 February 2022)

Dear CCPS Members and Supporters,

An important update from the CCPS Management Committee:

The CCPS submission to Round 1B of the Community Ownership Fund was submitted earlier today, Friday 18th February. We have had confirmation of it’s receipt from the Government Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, and told that they will inform us of the outcome of our bid ‘as soon as possible’. The Management Committee has worked carefully on the revised submission, which is also bolstered by the huge success of our share offer – which means the required match funding of £230,000 is now in place. We will update you all as and when we receive a decision from the DLUHC.

Share certificates are being posted out/hand delivered by the MC this week – many Members will already have received theirs. If you have not received your share certificate by the end of the month, please let us know and we will chase it up and issue replacements as necessary.

If you purchased shares as gifts and are yet to let us know who to address the certificates to (and for what amount(s)), please get in touch ASAP via email.

We hope to bring you (good!) news soon – keep everything crossed – but in the meantime, please keep visiting Lisa and the team at The Countryman’s, who continue to do stellar work keeping our fantastic local open and thriving!

With thanks and best wishes to all,

The CCPS Management Committee
Matty Cockburn (Chair), Chris Heap (Vice Chair), Katie O’Connell (Treasurer), Esme Terry (Secretary), Al Lowry, Pete Latham, Cathy Guy, Vicky Jobling, Jonathan Heap and Tom Self
