CCPS Update – Happy New Year!

Dear CCPS Members and supporters,

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had an enjoyable festive period.

The CCPS Committee took a much needed rest over Christmas and we have now returned; refreshed and ready to bring The Countryman’s Inn into community ownership in 2022. If you are awaiting a reply to a query, please be assured we are making our way through all outstanding correspondence as quickly as possible.

A few brief updates for our Members and supporters:

Share certificates for investing Members are in production! As you can imagine, this is a sizeable administrative operation, so please bear with us – it may take a few weeks for certificates to be issued.

The CCPS Committee have an online meeting scheduled with the Community Ownership Fund (COF) Team on Friday 14th January. This session will enable us to further strengthen our re-application to the COF.

Bolstered by the success of the CCPS community share offer, our re-application to the Community Ownership Fund for match-funded investment of £230,000 will be submitted in February.

To support our COF re-application, please consider returning a feedback form explaining what The Countryman’s Inn means to you and the community (form attached). Responses can be as brief or as detailed as you like – we will use as many as possible in our bid documentation.

We will be in touch again soon, but for now our thanks for your continued support.

Warmest wishes to all for a happy and healthy 2022.
