Dear members,

Thank you to those members who were able to join us at our second Annual General Meeting last night. It was great to meet together in person and update you on some of the works that have been ongoing.

For those who were unable to attend, a copy of the presentation is available on our website here, along with a copy of the meeting minutes.

At last night’s AGM, members were also asked to vote on three points and we are pleased to announce the results of the vote:

Vote 1 – Election of the Management Committee
Resolution: Members were asked to select up to 12 candidates to form the management committee for the next year.
Vote Result: All candidates standing for election received at least 50% of the vote and therefore all candidates have been elected onto the management committee. The management committee for the next year will consist of: Matty Cockburn, Chris Heap, Katie O’Connell, Tom Self, Jonathan Heap, Vicky Jobling, Robert Wyatt, Pete Latham, Steve Akred, Al Lowry, Jan Wylie and Paul Morris.

The new management committee will shortly meet to allocate roles and responsibilities, including electing a chair, vice-chair, secretary and treasurer. These roles are elected from within the management committee based on each individual’s skills and experience, and the outcome of this will be shared with you in due course.

Vote 2 – Appointment of an Accountant
Resolution: Members were asked if Ian Crisop should be re-appointed as the society’s accountant.
Vote Result: Members voted to re-appoint Ian Crisop as the society’s accountant.

Vote 3 – Appointment of an Auditor
Resolution: Members were asked if an additional auditor should be appointed.
Vote Result: Members voted not to appoint an additional auditor.
